Yoga Nidra-also known as yogic sleep-is a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. This practice can be done lying on the floor, on a bed or in a recliner…in your jammies if you wish! The difference between yoga nidra and meditation is the physical position. Lying down allows sensations of deep relaxation and letting go/surrender. I will guide you on a 45-minute journey that will take you deeper into an altered state of consciousness-the state between sleep and awake-where you are fully conscious but your body and mind are fully at rest and ease.
